Core Components of Our Leadership and Management Training Programs

Every leadership development engagement is built around how real managers learn, apply, and sustain new leadership behaviors under pressure (not around abstract theory.)

Foundational Leadership and Management Skills

  • Foundational leadership and management skills in listening, questioning, feedback, conflict resolution, time management, change leadership, and employment law basics.
  • Scenario-based leadership practice using your real situations (safety, quality, performance, harassment, and more).

Leadership Self-Awareness & Behavioral Intelligence

  • Self-awareness around natural leadership style, stress responses, and impact on others, using DISC or Behavioral SuperPowers profiles.
  • Practical tools for adapting leadership and communication across styles and generations to reduce friction and improve collaboration.

Performance Leadership, Accountability, and Coaching

  • Clear expectation-setting, early intervention on performance issues, and consistent use of PIPs where appropriate.
  • Structured leadership conversation frameworks for feedback, coaching, and accountability that managers can use immediately.

Leading Through Conflict, Influence, and Change

  • Skills to address conflict early, manage defensiveness, and influence without authority across the organization.
  • Tools for managing up, leading change, and aligning teams during operational pressure.

Leadership development is built around your actual business priorities. We work with you to identify what matters most in your environment, whether that is safety, quality, customer experience, financial performance, or culture, so development time is focused where it will drive the greatest impact.

Two Leadership and Management Training

Program Paths:

Traditional Intensive Off-Site or

Leadership Operating System

You can choose between a high-impact leadership training experience or a sustained Leadership Operating System designed to hardwire leadership behaviors.

Option 1: Leadership & Management Training Program Intensive

In-Person or Virtual Workshops

Best when you need rapid leadership alignment and capability building in a short timeframe.

  • Format:
    • In-person leadership and management workshops, delivered consecutively or spaced across the year.
    • Typical program is 8 to 32 hours, depending on goals, budget, topics, etc.
    • Cohort groups of leaders ensure meaningful interaction and coaching.
  • Focus:
    • Shared leadership language and expectations for managers and supervisors.
    • Leadership communication, feedback, accountability, conflict, and performance management standards tailored to your culture.
  • Outcomes:
    • Clear, consistent expectations for what effective leadership and management look like in your organization.
    • Increased confidence handling performance issues, safety concerns, and difficult leadership conversations.

Sustained impact depends on internal reinforcement after the workshops, which we can help you design.

Option 2: Leadership Operating System (LOS)

This is our sustained leadership and management training model for organizations seeking long-term behavior change.

  • Format (typically over several months):
    • Often includes a series of in-person leadership development workshops (for example, multiple 3–4 hour sessions) paired with virtual group coaching sessions.
    • May be supplemented with ongoing leadership micro-learning and micro-coaching via Gia, a mentorship-grade AI digital leadership coach.
    • Commonly incorporates several manager-of-manager benchmark conversations (such as at the start, midpoint, and conclusion) to align expectations and make leadership behavior more visible.
  • What makes LOS different:
    • Leadership development treated as an operating discipline, not a one-time training event.
    • Repeated practice of the same critical leadership behaviors in real work situations, with feedback from peers, managers, and AI-enabled micro-coaching.
    • Short digital ai-enabled nudges in the flow of work, not extra meetings, so leaders practice while doing their jobs.
  • Outcomes:
    • Reduced variability in how managers and supervisors handle feedback, accountability, and conflict.
    • Faster escalation and resolution of performance issues and less reliance on HR for basic leadership breakdowns.
    • Stronger alignment between stated leadership expectations and daily leadership behavior.

What our Clients Say

Julia P.

We saw greater consistency across managers and a noticeable improvement in confidence and follow-through.”
— Chief Human Resources Officer, Residential Home Construction Co.

Tommy T.

VP Ops

“Our leaders didn't need more theory. They needed support in the moment. The ai component helped managers think differently during real situations, not after the fact. It reinforced coaching, accountability, and communication without slowing the operation down. That made the difference.”
— Vice President of Operations, Textile Manufacturing

Rebecca H.

EVP, Marketing

"The value of the program has been how it's turned our leadership development into daily practice and conversation. Gia: Mentorship-Grade AI Coaching Platform

Gia supports our leadership and management training programs by reinforcing behaviors in real time.

5–10 minute micro-coaching interactions that reinforce leadership priorities, prepare managers for upcoming conversations, and support reflection after critical moments.

Personalized prompts based on your leadership competencies, each leader’s psychometric or behavioral profile, and their development goals

Organizational Network Analysis

Organizational Network Analysis to identify key influencers, at-risk talent, and hidden leaders.

Digital leadership coaching, mentoring, book summaries, and IDP support embedded into the flow of work to strengthen leadership depth, engagement, and retention at scale.

People engage with Gia as situations arise. A new employee builds confidence during the first months on the job. A supervisory manager reflects on how stress and communication choices affect their team. A senior leader gains clearer insight into what is working, where alignment is strong, and where attention is needed.

Support appears through short, relevant prompts, practical guidance, and moments of reflection that help people think differently and act with more intention. The experience adjusts to the individual and their role, meeting them where they are rather than asking them to step away from their work.

What stands out is not the technology, but the human moments it enables. People pause, reflect, make better choices, and move forward with greater clarity. Learning becomes part of the work itself, reinforcing self awareness, sound judgment, and stronger leadership behaviors over time.

Within our leadership and management training programs, this is how PeopleTransformation.ai, our AI coaching and change management platform, helps organizations turn insight into action at scale, while ensuring people feel seen, supported, and equipped to do their best work.

Flexible Staffing, Intentional Matching

Facilitator selection is based on:

  • Program goals and desired outcomes
  • Audience level and industry context
  • Location, delivery format, and timeline
  • Budget and scalability needs

We may use different facilitators across sessions or locations, depending on what best serves the organization. Regardless of who is assigned, the experience, quality, and learning design remain consistent.

Designed for Engagement, Not Performance

Facilitators are trained in TurnKey’s learning approach, which emphasizes:

  • Active participation over presentation
  • Real-world scenarios over theoretical examples
  • Practice, reflection, and application over passive learning
  • Tools and frameworks managers can immediately use on the job

This ensures a consistent experience across locations and facilitators, while still allowing facilitators to adapt to the group and context in the room.

Our Commitment to Quality

We stand behind our work.  If an engagement does not meet expectations, we address it. Client satisfaction matters, and we take responsibility for the experience we deliver.

How Leaders Show Up Differently After Our Leadership and Management Training Programs

The program is grounded in adult learning best practices and designed to ensure managers consistently demonstrate the ability to:

Set clear expectations, align priorities, and follow through consistently as leaders.

Have direct, professional accountability conversations early, before issues escalate.

Coach and develop team members, not just manage tasks and output.

Communicate across styles and generations to reduce friction and build trust.

Navigate conflict and difficult leadership conversations with more confidence and less escalation.

Lead change in a way that protects engagement and culture, even during operational pressure.

Optional leadership modules can deepen financial acumen so operational leaders understand how daily decisions affect margins, cash flow, and enterprise value.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Leadership and Management Training Programs

About the Leadership Development Experience

What types of leaders is your leadership and management training designed for?

TurnKey offers leadership development programs designed to support leaders at every level of the organization.

Our Manager Development program focuses on essential competency development for managers operating in the modern world of work. It covers foundational, non-negotiable capabilities such as performance management, emotional intelligence, time and priority management, and communication.

At the same time, every program is customized to deliver what your leaders actually need. Lessons and modules are adapted based on role expectations, operating environment, and the outcomes the organization is trying to achieve.

Programs can be designed for mixed groups or focused specifically on frontline supervisors, new and emerging managers, and mid-level leaders responsible for day-to-day people leadership, performance, safety, and culture.

Our programs are especially effective in complex, operational environments where leadership decisions directly impact quality, customer experience, and retention.

Can we customize the leadership development content for our industry and culture?

Yes. We interview key stakeholders, review your leadership competencies and values, and build scenarios from your real operational challenges so the training feels relevant and immediately usable. Content, examples, and tools are adapted for your environment—manufacturing, technology, healthcare, public sector, or other complex settings.

How long does a typical leadership and management program run?

Program length varies based on goals, audience size, and desired depth.

Some organizations start with focused one- or two-day intensives, while others choose multi-session programs with reinforcement over time. The structure is designed to balance impact with operational realities.

We just need traditional leadership training for our managers. Can you do that?

Yes. That is a common starting point.

Many organizations promote managers from within and need to quickly provide a solid foundation in people leadership. We regularly deliver traditional, instructor-led leadership and management training, either on-site or virtually, focused on the core skills new managers need to succeed.

Programs cover essential competencies such as performance management, communication, emotional intelligence, time management, and leading former peers. The experience is practical, structured, and focused on immediate application. Nothing extra is required beyond what your managers need right now.

How do you ensure learning sticks and leads to real behavior change over time?

Insight alone doesn’t change behavior. We design leadership development for retention, application, and reinforcement. Core concepts are practiced through realistic scenarios and facilitated reflection, then reinforced over time through manager-of-manager checkpoints, individual development planning, and AI-enabled micro-coaching. In-the-moment prompts, reflection questions, and targeted follow-ups help managers apply what they’ve learned to real situations—so skills move out of the classroom and into daily leadership behavior.

How do we know the leadership training is working?

We work with you to define success up front, then track indicators such as participant feedback, observed leadership behaviors, coaching and training completion, and qualitative feedback from HR and line leaders. Over time, organizations often see more consistent handling of performance and conflict, stronger manager–employee relationships, and improved retention in manager-led teams

What if we have mixed levels of leaders in the same program?

That is common and expected.

The program is designed so leaders at different levels can engage with the same core concepts while applying them at the appropriate scope of responsibility. Facilitators adjust scenarios, coaching questions, and reflection prompts so both newer and more experienced leaders are challenged and supported.

How do you integrate our leadership competencies or frameworks?

Existing leadership competencies can be incorporated directly into the program design.

Content, scenarios, and reflection activities can be aligned to reinforce the behaviors your organization already values. This ensures the program strengthens what you have in place rather than introducing a competing model.

How do you support hybrid teams and leaders working in different locations?

Today’s work environment is complex. Teams may be fully on-site, fully remote, hybrid, or distributed across locations. Some leaders are hands-on and on-site, while others travel frequently or manage teams from a distance.

Our programs are designed to flex to those realities. Delivery can include in-person sessions, virtual experiences, or blended formats with work between sessions. Programs may be structured as multiple cohorts or adapted to support individual leaders who cannot attend every live session.

Content, scenarios, and reflection activities are aligned to how your leaders actually work. Virtual group coaching and ongoing reinforcement support learning between sessions. AI-enabled coaching in the flow of work helps leaders stay engaged with the material and apply it in real situations, even if they miss a live session.

The result is a leadership development experience that works across hybrid, in-person, and distributed environments without sacrificing consistency or impact.

What if we need to act quickly and bring leaders together to address urgent issues?

We are well equipped for that situation.

TurnKey has delivered hundreds of leadership and management programs across industries and environments. With more than 400 proven programs and modules available, we can move quickly to design a targeted, high-impact experience that addresses your most pressing needs.

Content is selected and customized to reflect your culture, goals, leadership expectations, and work environment. This allows organizations to deploy a focused leadership “strike force” when needed, with the option to expand or build on the work over time.

About Our AI Coaching Platform

How do you ensure learning sticks and leads to real behavior change over time?

Insight alone doesn’t change behavior. We design leadership development for retention, application, and reinforcement. Core concepts are practiced through realistic scenarios and facilitated reflection, then reinforced over time through manager-of-manager checkpoints, individual development planning, and AI-enabled micro-coaching. In-the-moment prompts, reflection questions, and targeted follow-ups help managers apply what they’ve learned to real situations—so skills move out of the classroom and into daily leadership behavior.

Will our data be safe using an AI nudging platform?

Yes. Data security and privacy are foundational, not optional.

The platform is designed so sensitive information is protected, access is controlled, and data is never shared or sold. Personal inputs are used only to support development and learning, not evaluation or surveillance. Organizations retain ownership of their data at all times.

If your organization has specific security or compliance requirements, those are addressed up front.

Is the AI monitoring or evaluating employees?

No. The platform does not monitor behavior, score employees, or report individual activity to managers.

It is designed to support reflection, learning, and application in the flow of work. Managers engage with the platform voluntarily to build skills, prepare for conversations, and think through decisions. It is a development tool, not a performance tracking system.

What is Organizational Network Analysis (ONA)?

Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) looks at how work actually gets done by examining patterns of collaboration, communication, and influence across the organization.

Instead of relying on org charts or job titles, ONA helps identify informal leaders, bottlenecks, and hidden dependencies that impact execution. It provides leaders with insight into where alignment is strong, where it breaks down, and where targeted development or change support will have the greatest impact.

ONA is used selectively and intentionally, not as a blanket requirement. Not all organizations are a fit for ONA.

How does this work alongside in-person training or coaching?

The platform is designed to extend and reinforce live learning, not compete with it.

In-person sessions create shared understanding and practice. The platform helps managers apply what they learned when they return to the job. This closes the gap between insight and behavior and reduces the drop-off that often happens after training events.

How much time does the digital coaching (AI-enabled platform) take for managers?

Very little, by design. Full engagement is lightweight and manager-driven, typically taking about five minutes, twice per month.

Our mentorship-grade AI platform supports learning in the flow of work, fitting into moments managers already experience rather than adding another system or time burden. Engagement is optional and always controlled by the manager.

The digitally enabled change support provides a small number of nudges each month as part of an AI-enabled change management approach.

In practice, usage varies naturally. About 60 percent of participants spend 30 minutes or less per month. Roughly 30 percent choose to spend closer to an hour because they find the support valuable. Around 10 percent of participants may choose to engage minimally.

That range is expected. The platform is designed to reinforce learning and behavior change without monitoring, mandates, or disruption to daily work.

Does the AI Coaching platform integrate with internal systems?

Integration with internal systems is optional and assessed on a case-by-case basis. The platform can operate independently without access to internal systems, directories, or employee records.

Any integration is reviewed in advance and aligned with organizational security standards.

Is organizational data used to train external AI models?

No. Organizational data and participant inputs are not used to train external or public AI models.

Client data remains isolated and protected within the platform environment.

Who controls access to data?

Access to data is controlled through defined permissions and role-based access. Organizations retain control over who can view aggregate insights and how data is used within the scope of the engagement.

Individual participant inputs remain private unless explicitly shared by the participant.

Can the AI enablement platform support compliance or security reviews?

Yes. Security, privacy, and compliance considerations are addressed during implementation. Documentation and clarification can be provided to support internal InfoSec, Legal, or IT review processes.

What if some leaders are resistant or skeptical about using an AI-enabled platform?

That is expected and normal.

In most organizations, a small percentage of leaders, typically around 10 percent, may choose not to engage with the platform. That is not a failure condition and does not prevent the program from being effective.

For the majority of participants, initial skepticism tends to ease with exposure. We support that transition through a thoughtful onboarding process that includes a clear kickoff, guided orientation, and access to real people who can answer questions or address concerns. Over time, most leaders become comfortable using the digital coach as a practical support tool rather than something abstract or intimidating.

Can the program help leaders move from AI resistance to adoption?

Yes.

Adoption happens through experience, not persuasion. Leaders engage with the conversational, mentorship-grade AI in the context of real leadership challenges they are already navigating. The interaction is practical, grounded, and focused on making decisions, conversations, and preparation easier.

As leaders use the platform, many have a clear emotional shift. They experience firsthand how artificial intelligence can reduce friction, support thinking, and save time. That lived experience matters more than explanation. AI stops feeling abstract or risky and starts feeling useful.

For organizations navigating broader AI hesitation, the platform often serves as a low-risk entry point. Leaders gain comfort through use, build confidence through results, and begin to see how AI can act as an enabler and productivity multiplier in their work. Over time, resistance is replaced by understanding and, in some cases, advocacy.
